Make Someone's Dream Come True!

KING FOR A DAY - Try on your Dream Job for Size!

I was originally a theatre major who aspired to go to California Institue for The Arts and make it big in Hollywood.  The closest I ever made it was when some casting agents came to our school and I auditioned for the film Shoot the Moon with Albert Finney and Diane Keaton.

A few days following my audtion my Drama teacher called my house to say that the Casting Director had called and asked if it was an issue to dye my hair so that it would be a closer match to Diane Keaton's.  They could have died my hair purple for all I cared!  Unfortunately, they ended up going with a younger actor.  Who new I would encounter age discrimination at the ripe old age of 14!

I have since had the opportunity to enjoy my fifteen minutes of fame none-the-less by making cameo appearances in several informercials thanks to a friend who is an award winning Director and Producer.  I tease her that I am her Alfred Hitchcock, appearing briefly in all her productions.

My husband who is a Contractor by trade, also dreamt of building sets in Hollywood.  I had images of playing his leading lady while we made out behind the scenes quite literally.

Well now each of us and you can follow your dreams or make someone else's dream come true at http://www.vocationvacations.com./ If your budget is on the lower end you can buy the book Test-Drive Your Dream Job: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding and Creating the Work You Love . You can also buy a Gfit Certificate

This is a wonderful idea for the new Graduate in your life,  a retiree looking for a new opportuntiy or for someone who has been laid-off or in a career transition.  What a terrific way to find out in  advance of going into an industry that it really wasn't all that you anticipated or that in-fact you reallly do want to make your dream a reality!
